Chapter 52 - Severity of Burns
It is often difficult to immediately determine the severity of a burn as it may take time for the extent of the damage to become clear. The severity of a burn is determined by the combination of a number of factors including the degree of the burn, the temperature of the source, the length of exposure, the location of the burn, the percentage of the body that is affected, and the victim's age or medical condition.
